Rosario Flores went to El Hormiguero one day after Lola Indigo’s visit to talk about her new stage as coach of La Voz Kids together with Aitana Ocaña, Sebastián Yatra and David Bisbal. But it was not the only topical issue that she was able to talk about, since the museum dedicated to Lola Flores has also been opened in her native Jerez.

Regarding the program, he explained that he loves the format and that it is the best thing that has happened to me in life, but he also explained the reason why he only does the children’s edition: “The older ones take it more to heart, but children forget after five minutes if you give them a hug and tell them that they are going to sing with me in a concert”.

Precisely because it was a more familiar format, the great fear he had after the auditions was that the relatives would take it badly not to select his son. “I thought they would be waiting for me at the exit to beat me up”, something that luckily has never happened and has always had good experiences.

Despite the fact that she is now very happy with this adventure and considers herself the “monster of children”, she admitted to the viewers that at first “she was not very keen on the work, but we have been doing La Voz for ten or eleven years and while I want, I’ll be there.” When they proposed it to her, she did not think that television was her place: “I was more of an artist.”

Changing the subject radically, the presenter of El Hormiguero wanted to have a nice memory for his friend Enrique San Francisco, who died in 2021. Rosario Flores emotionally recalled her first boyfriend and explained that “every time I come here and I I see you, I remember him” and that “I have a very big emptiness, a very big pity”.

Despite the fact that they broke up decades ago, and she has been married to Pedro Lazaga since 2006, their bond was still very strong: “I regret not having taken more care of him and having been with him more, I miss him a lot.” She wanted to explain why she did not go to see him off at his funeral: “He decided that I should not go.” That day she could not go “because she was traveling” and when she found out she fainted.

Despite the fact that this relationship was not viewed favorably at home, several years apart, the singer assured that: “We had enormous love, he has been one of the best men I have ever met in my life, he met me as a young woman and shaped me, made me the woman I am today”.

The guest launched one last thought: “I don’t understand why we didn’t come back, we left him very much in love and we never came back, I don’t know.” Finally, she wanted to send a message to her husband, in case she was watching the interview: “Well, if my husband is listening to me, I’m very much in love with you, huh.”
