Antonio Tejado's brother assures that María del Monte is not angry: "We are a united family"

Antonio Tejado, nephew of María del Monte, continues to face life in prison after being considered the alleged mastermind of a robbery at the residence of his aunt and her partner Inmaculada Casal. It is estimated that everything they took has a value of practically one million euros.

Since his entry into prison in February, little has changed in his situation, despite the efforts of his defense to obtain provisional release, which was rejected by both the Prosecutor’s Office and the private prosecution.

Despite this scenario, his brother Chema has assured Europa Press that Antonio firmly believes that he has nothing to do with the crimes of which he is accused: “He is fatal, like any person who is convinced of his innocence in this situation”.

Suspicions about Tejado, which are well-founded, have affected his relationship with María del Monte. In this sense, according to Marisa Martín Blázquez in TardeAR, the singer would not welcome her nephew being released. This determination has not sat well with the Sevillian’s family.

However, Chema has insisted that everything is fine and his aunt does support Tejado. “We are a united family, we always have been and we are going to continue working and fighting,” the brother said to dispel any speculation about a possible estrangement.

Finally, while Antonio Tejado’s family continues their fight to prove his innocence and obtain his freedom, the situation in the prison becomes even more complicated with changes such as the relocation of the module and the assignment of a new cellmate, which, according to Kike Calleja pointed out, has upset Tejado even more.
