It is never too late to try to catch the new trends and all the fashions that, although fleeting, catch the attention of consumers. Brands, products and celebrities who come together to share this type of new fashions, because it is the way to reach those new generations obsessed with social networks and easy entertainment.

The latest to become an absolute star among the youngest on the Internet has been the actor Anthony Hopkins, who at 86 years old has shown that he still has some tricks up his sleeve to surprise his followers. He has done it on social networks, where with more than eight million followers he shares videos of himself dancing and being silly and living according to “his age,” which for him is 68 years.

The actor, winner of two Oscars throughout his career, has given rein to this new facet as king of the short video; something that, although reluctant at first, he ended up doing for his wife, Stella Arroyave (67) and her niece, who convinced him to make the videos.

“I’m a little reluctant. I say, ‘Oh no, not again.’ But I do stupid things because we need humor. We need to laugh in life. I guess for good reason. Life is hard. The world is a wild place, but life has its beauty,” insists the actor.

Thus, it is now common to see him doing all kinds of things: from dancing to the rhythm of Italian Mambo to stirring tomato sauce while he gets into the shoes of his celebrated Hannibal Lecter.

The protagonist of Freud’s Last Session is preparing a documentary about his life, and despite his age, he has no plans to retire at the moment. “I’m very lucky to work at my age,” he admits.

Hopkins is not the only one, and TikTok has more and more stars over 80 years old, who have found in the social network a new way to have fun and connect with new generations, adding a touch of sweetness to the medium. The Canadian Jenny Krupa (88), the “gangster” granny Ross Smith (94) or Old Steve (82) are just some of them. All of them, with something in common: not taking anything too seriously.
