Andy and Lucas, the members of one of the most iconic Spanish musical duos in the country, attended the Pablo Motos program tonight to discuss their extensive career and present their next tour. Beyond important dates and cities in which they will be, the duo has given news that their followers did not expect.
After 20 years together, the duo has announced that they are separating due to Lucas’ health problems. Apparently the singer suffers from cardiovascular problems and although he has explained that “with the pill I am quite stable”, the doctor has recommended slowing down.
Andy explained to Motos that they have decided “to take a break, but we don’t know if we are going to return because his health comes first.” Even so, he has explained that he is not going to stop singing, “even if it is at home I am going to sing what I can.”
Although they have announced a new tour together, the farewell tour, Andy has confessed to Motos that “not getting on stage with him (Lucas)… I don’t know… it will be hard. “I’m going to have to look for a psychologist.”
For his part, Lucas has also said that it will be hard for him to stop acting with Andy given their bond. “For me he is my brother, my family. “I have experienced things with him that I have not experienced with people of my blood.”
Following the news that the duo has just announced, Pablo Motos has asked them to play a song live, which has excited the entire set and even themselves. Lucas has encouraged people to “invest 40 or 50 euros in the ticket price” to attend his concert, fill the venues and sell out the tickets.
