Campofrío has done it again. Like every year and as tradition dictates, the famous food company has published its long-awaited Christmas advertisement with which it aims to surprise and excite viewers. Furthermore, this year, the company has chosen to go one step further and wanted to challenge one of the heavyweights of 2023: artificial intelligence.
A few days ago, the company published a Christmas advertisement that generated all kinds of comments and criticism on social networks, since many claimed that it “lacked personality.” But to everyone’s surprise, that first video was part of a marketing strategy with which the company wanted to demonstrate that an advertisement made by AI was never going to surpass one made by a human team.
After the great media stir, the company published the real announcement this Thursday, which, like the first, left viewers speechless. With this advertising spot, Campofrío wanted to move away from the typical clichés of perfect families and represent one of the funniest family pictures this Christmas.
Plus, the ad is full of familiar faces. The master of ceremonies is none other than Carlos Areces, who little by little is welcoming different famous faces from our country. One of the most commented interventions was that of Alexia Putellas. The world champion appears in the company of her teammate Eva Navarro along with other personalities such as Ana Morgade or Malena Alterio.
At one point in the advertisement, the comedian realized that familiar faces were still missing from the table. ”And the champions? “Let them pass!” said Carlos Areces, while Alexia Putellas and Eva Navarro made an appearance hitting a ball. “And from them, let Artificial Intelligence learn what place they deserve,” the comedian stated. “Hey, if this is Campofrío’s announcement, where is Chiquito?” commented the F.C. Barcelona player as soon as she sat down.
“Did you say…?” Ana Morgade asked. “Little one,” Malena Alterio responded. The athlete once again insisted that she was referring to Chiquito de la Calzada and her teammate Eva Navarro, an Atlético de Madrid player, commented the following: ”That’s what AI is for, right? If a sinner has to be revived, let it be the one from the prairie.” Some words that many have detected could be a subtle dig at Luis Rubiales after his controversial actions in the last World Cup final.
