Alaska turns 60 this Tuesday and to celebrate it the artist has given an extensive interview to Vanity Fair magazine, whose cover stars in the month of July. Among the many headlines that the singer has left, she has defined herself politically, something that in recent months has earned her the odd controversy.
“I’m not from the right but I’m not progressive either,” he assured. The singer and her partner a few months ago faced criticism from Jorge Javier Vázquez, who made her multiple affinities with politicians and conservative public figures ugly. Specifically, he referred to the friendship of her marriage with Isabel Díaz Ayuso, Alberto Núñez Feijoó and Federico Jiménez Losantos.
“It hurts my soul to see you eating kisses with a lady who said it was a drag that Pride week lasted a whole month, when precisely a large part of the people who adore both you and your lady belong to the collective” , wrote the one from Badalona.
In the same interview, Alaska has reaffirmed her support and respect for the LGTBI public, a group of which she feels one more: “I am a fagot, but the gay muse thing is very unfair because there will be gays who do not like me” .
Alaska and Mario make up one of the most popular and extravagant marriages on the Spanish cultural scene. Their relationship began in 1999, when the lead singer of Nancys Rubias entered the Alaska record company to promote her records. Shortly after the couple got married in Las Vegas and in 2011 they made their marriage official in Spain.
This Tuesday, Vaquerizo has shared on Instagram one of the first images that were taken together. “My little star today is your birthday. This photo was also taken on your birthday in the year 1999. That day many things happened that determined that I decided to join you for life. They are already 24 years together in a Disneyland of love that as the years go by it gets better,” he wrote in the text that accompanies the image.
