On Friday, June 23, Sálvame said goodbye forever on Telecinco, leaving behind 14 successful years. He did it in style with a giant bonfire in which furniture from the program and celebrity secrets were burned. Although it is a painful end for those who have been part of this television family, they are clear that “every end is a beginning”.
Eight of these collaborators already have their salary guaranteed in a new space that will be released on Netflix in a very short time. However, there are many who find themselves with an uncertain future in which they will have to find a life far from La Fábrica de la Tele. Adela González, who arrived revolutionizing the afternoons of the chain, has taken only three days to relocate to another program, but one of the competition.
Adela González arrived at Sálvame in February 2022, and just over a year later she has managed to win the affection of her colleagues and the audience. The way of presenting her, her innocence, her charisma and her, sometimes, her bad mood, have made her become one of the most acclaimed presenters of the moment. Therefore, it is not surprising that she has managed to find a new professional project in a short time.
The Basque leaves Mediaset, like many of her colleagues, and throws herself headlong into Atresmedia, the competition. As El Mundo has advanced, Adela has signed on for La Sexta to present Más Vale Tarde, the program hosted by Iñaki López and Cristina Pardo.
But that does not mean that the current presenters of the La Sexta program will disappear. They will continue their work from Monday to Friday, leaving Adela González at the controls on Saturday afternoons. Of course, she will not do it alone. The journalist joins Boris Izaguirre in this evening magazine that will start in September.
With this, Adela returns to her home. In 2014, the journalist made the leap to national television in this same program, Más Vale Tarde. Although she began as a writer, she soon became the substitute presenter for Mamen Mandizábal. However, in 2016 she decided to leave this space to continue her professional career. Now, turned into a star, she goes back to her beginnings.
With this, Adela González joins the list of collaborators and presenters who have already found work after the end of Sálvame. Belén Esteban, Terelu Campos, Kiko Matamoros, Chelo García Cortés, María Patiño, Kiko Hernández, Lydia Lozano and Víctor Sandoval will embark on an adventure through Latin America at the hands of Netflix.
The streaming platform has decided to trust these eight collaborators and the production company La Fábrica de la Tele to get down to work with a new program that is scheduled to be recorded this summer. These famous commentators will travel to the television sets of the most important programs on the other side of the pond to show what Sálvame has done for 14 years and to try to find work.
