An illegal immigrant from Turkey, Sakir Akkan, has been accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in New York. The incident took place in his car after he threatened to harm her with a pipe. The girl was forced into Akkan’s green Toyota Prius on May 14, but he was not arrested until June 18. Border Patrol agents detained him in November 2023 at the U.S.-Mexico border in California and then released him into the country’s interior. He later obtained a New Jersey driver’s license, a car, and settled in Troy, New York.

Akkan, who is 21 years old, is currently being held in an Albany jail without bail. He has pleaded not guilty to a first-degree rape charge and is set to appear in court on Thursday afternoon. Court records indicate that Akkan had been stopped in another jurisdiction for an alleged traffic violation just 12 days before his arrest.

This incident adds to a series of high-profile attacks on women and young girls by illegal immigrants across the United States. In Houston, two illegals were accused of abducting a 12-year-old girl, stripping her, strangling her to death, and dumping her body under a bridge. In New York City, another illegal reportedly assaulted two 13-year-olds, tied them up, and raped one of them. Missouri police arrested five illegal immigrants who were driving with a missing 14-year-old girl from Indiana.

In a tragic case, Victor Martinez Hernandez, 23, faces charges of first-degree murder and rape for the attack on Rachel Morin, 37, in Bel Air, Maryland. Hernandez entered the U.S. illegally in February 2023 and committed the crime the following month. Additionally, a woman and her 9-year-old daughter were victims of a home invasion in Los Angeles.

Former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey highlighted the Biden administration’s failure to secure the southern border, leading to a rise in violence against women across the country. She referred to this as a “femicide” plague and warned that women are increasingly becoming targets of migrants, bringing this issue to local neighborhoods.

The article emphasizes the urgent need for comprehensive immigration reform and stricter border security measures to prevent such heinous crimes from occurring. It also sheds light on the vulnerability of women and young girls in the face of illegal immigration and the importance of prioritizing their safety and protection in communities nationwide.
