The castings for Operación Triunfo 2023 began a week ago. The return of the music program by the Amazon Prime Video platform caught fans of the format by surprise, who are closely following the auditions of those who dream of following in the footsteps of David Bisbal, Rosa López, Aitana Ocaña, Alfred García or Pablo López.
The first stop of the castings was Barcelona. In this city, the first two phases were held, which decided which applicants continued in the selection process and continued with the possibility of entering the most famous academy on television. In general, the level in Barcelona was very good and Noemí Galera and her team found really interesting voices.
Once they reached the next city on the list, Zaragoza, the Operación Triunfo team found themselves with long lines of hopefuls who had been waiting for hours to sing in front of Galera and his helpers.
It should be said that the weather in the Aragonese city was really bad and that there were storms and rains that would later flow into the dangerous estuaries that have turned the city into an apocalyptic scenario in recent days.
Due to the heavy rain, already in the second phase of the casting, the director of the OT academy had to abruptly stop a young man. “Wait, wait a minute, we have a leak,” Manu Guix’s friend interrupted. The applicant, visibly nervous and confused by the stoppage, confirmed what the judge had said: “Oysters, but there are many. The cables, the virgin!”
To downplay the matter, the boy added that he has been a “jotero” since he was little, a phrase that Galera used to make a joke that marked one of the funniest moments of the day: “He is a jotero and there is a leak.”
The official account of the singing program picked up this comical moment with a very funny tweet in which he alluded to the Titanic: ”This would have been the perfect moment to sing the OST of the movie that you are all thinking- El jotero y la gotera que We will never forget”.
Before the end of 2023, a new edition of Operación Triunfo will start on Amazon Prime, the first that will not be broadcast openly. Because of this, there will be some modifications, such as a 90-minute gala and a daily magazine to comment on the musical reality.
Chenoa’s presence as presenter of the program is also new, while Noemí Galera, Manu Guix, Mamen Márquez and Vicky Gómez repeat as part of the faculty and direction of the academy. For the rest, the mechanics are the same as always. In each gala there will be a favorite, two nominees and one expelled, which is decided through the official app of the program. In addition, the 24-hour channel will continue to be available on YouTube.
