More and more people are embarking on the complicated adventure of finding their soul mate. And what better place than the most famous restaurant on television, First Dates. On Wednesday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed different diners, who decided to go to Cuatro’s space with the aim of finding love.
One of the great events of the night was the one starring Felipe and María. The 86-year-old bachelor from Madrid arrived at the restaurant boasting of his age and vitality. Felipe explained to Carlos Sobera that after having been working as a shepherd and cowboy, he set up a chicken shop in his neighborhood. ”They know me from Felipe and the shin chicken,” he said.
After the death of his wife, the bachelor had not been with anyone again, but now he was open to meeting a woman to spend his day to day life. ”I don’t want them tall or fat,” he assured. His date was going to be María, a very conceited 82-year-old from Madrid. ”I look in the mirror and I see myself well. “How pretty I am and what a little ass I have,” he declared.
The first impression among the singles was very different. While María seemed delighted with the bachelor, Felipe seemed somewhat disappointed. ”The stature is divine, the thickness not so much,” he stated. But within seconds he backed away. ”But the truth is, it’s not bad,” he added. ”Felipe is handsome,” she commented. Suddenly, the presenter appeared and accompanied the couple to their table.
The evening began with the couple talking about their ages. The bachelor was very surprised to discover that María was only four years younger than him. ”She missed you,” he told her. ”I have good skin,” she responded. Regarding what they were looking for in the program, the bachelor said that he wanted to meet someone to do various activities, but without living together. A confession they both agreed with.
In addition, the single woman told him that she was currently living with one of her children because she had recently gotten divorced. ”Normal,” commented the bachelor. ”Now it’s the fashion, but what a fashion… It’s an epidemic or a plague, you only see divorced people. Isn’t there going to be a next generation? There is, but very badly,” she asserted.
The date progressed and the complicity between the singles improved as the minutes passed. Such was the connection they had, that they even opened up about very intimate topics, such as the death of their partners. ”I still remember her every day,” Felipe confessed. And since the death of his wife, the bachelor had stopped interacting. ”We have to have fun and enjoy ourselves while we are agile,” she told him. ”I’m going to cheer him up,” declared María.
In the final stretch of the evening, the bachelor decided to invite María to dinner on the condition that she invite him next time. ”He is a very gentleman,” she said. Therefore, in the final decision there were no surprises and both decided to leave the program hand in hand.
