The new edition of one of the most popular music programs on television is getting closer. Operación Triunfo will be back on our screens at the end of 2023 on Amazon Prime Video, with a new generation of contestants who will give everything in the most famous academy on the small screen to become one of the great promises of the world of music.
But in order to see all the corners of the academy full of happiness and enthusiasm on the part of the applicants, the Gestmusic team, led by Noemí Galera, who will once again be the director of the center, will have to carry out an arduous task throughout the summer to find the most spectacular voices on the national scene.
The musical talent has kicked off with the casting phase, in which thousands of people have already applied to get the long-awaited sticker, which allows them to be closer to fulfilling their dream. Barcelona, ??Zaragoza, Santiago de Compostela and Bilbao were the first cities in which the Prime Video format has been looking for the best talent.
After several days off, the Gestmusic team has landed in a new city, ready to discover the best singers in the country. This past Monday, July 17, Valencia hosted another day of intense castings, in which more than 6,000 people were glued to the screens of their electronic devices to follow the event minute by minute.
These days of casting have left great moments to remember and a great deal of surprises, which on several occasions have left both Noemí Galera and the rest of her team speechless. An example of this is when one of the applicants who appear at the casting turns out to be a recognized Spanish actor.
This is what happened in Valencia. On one of the casting tails, headed by Pablo Wesling, member of Noemí Galera’s casting team, there appeared a very familiar face from the world of interpretation, Álvaro Requena. The actor became popular for his role in the series created by Albert Espinosa for Movistar Plus, Los Espabilados.
The interpreter arrived at his turn with guitar in hand. But at the moment of beginning to sing, he put down the instrument and began to cover the song If you give me a choice by Los Chunguitos. The second song chosen by him was La Flaca de Jarabe de Palo. These two impeccable performances were enough for Pablo Wesling to get up from his chair and give him the expected sticker, to the emotional applause of the people.
