The most romantic space on television closed its doors for another week with great moments between its different diners. On Friday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed single men and women, who showed up to First Dates with the hope of finding their soulmate within the four walls of the most famous restaurant on the small screen.
One of the couples of the night was Anet and Gabriel. The 25-year-old Cuban single arrived at the restaurant confessing that she was very dreamy and that she immediately imagined an entire life with the person she was meeting. ”I have been disappointed,” she declared. She had been living in Spain for a year and a half, but the adaptation process had been hard since her entire family was still in Cuba. She wanted to meet a boy who was intelligent and made her laugh. ”I am very expressive. If I don’t like it, it will show,’ she declared.
Her date was going to be Gabriel, a 32-year-old single from Madrid, who lived surrounded by the countryside. ”I have my lands, I have almond trees, pistachios, olive trees. To survive and not lack food,’ he declared. As soon as they saw each other, they both had a good first impression. ”The first thing I thought when I saw him is that he is tall. I like them tall with beards. And well,” she said.
”It was not at all what I expected. I usually go out with blonde and blue-eyed girls. And it was quite the opposite, but it didn’t seem bad to me,” he commented. After learning his age and professions, Carlos Sobera appeared to accompany the couple inside the restaurant, where the evening was going to begin.
The singles started the dinner talking about their previous relationships. Anet confessed that boys in Cuba were more affectionate, while Spanish boys were colder. ”He told me that Spaniards aren’t good at him, but I’m half Spanish and German,” the bachelor said. And Gabriel said that his mother was German and that she had given him “a very strange mix.” ”It seems like I’m very serious, but I have a lot of fun inside,” he confessed.
The date progressed and the worlds of Anet and Gabriel seemed to be fitting together perfectly. The single woman asked him what he was like in love and Gabriel responded: “Very good.” An answer that caused Anet to burst into laughter. ”I’m very much on my own, but when you have to be there, you have to be there,” she clarified. ”I liked it,” she said. Furthermore, Ella Anet confessed with a serious face that she was looking for someone for better and for worse. ”You have character. “Your vein has swollen,” said the bachelor. ”I’m very good, but when I get angry…” she said.
In the final stretch of the evening, the First Dates restaurant was transformed into a dance floor, where the singles managed to get a little closer and have a pleasant time, despite Gabriel’s few rhythmic skills. ”You’re very funny,” Anet asserted. ”And you, even though you have that strange streak. You look like if you pull out the vein here you might burst a glass,” he replied. In the final decision, they both agreed to have a second date.
