The most popular dating show on television aired a new installment on Tuesday night full of unique and unparalleled moments. On this occasion, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners, who decided to attend First Dates in the hope of living an unforgettable experience and, in the process, trying to find their soul mate.
Two of the stars of the night were Álex and Melissa. The 25-year-old bachelor from Madrid arrived at the restaurant confessing to being a somewhat chaotic person. ”My great gift is sport and thought,” he declared. His great passions were water polo and philosophy. In love, the single man claimed to be someone closer to polyamory, since he doubted that there really “was only one person for everyone.”
His date was going to be Melissa, a 22-year-old single from Madrid, who claimed to have a cultured side and a more mischievous one. ”I love living whatever the night wants to give me (…) I am bisexual,” she confessed. The first impression among the singles was quite good. ”Physically I found her to be an attractive person, she fits within my canons,” commented the bachelor.
After learning that they were both from Madrid, the singles were left speechless when they discovered that the two had philosophy in common. ”The last thing I expected was to find someone who studied philosophy, but I think it’s really cool,” she declared. But despite their unusual coincidences, Melissa had not felt physical attraction for him. ”Physically, it’s not what I usually go to,” she said.
Moments later, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about their studies. A topic that united them and helped them discover their passion for animals and their position against the meat industry. ”That pollutes, if we don’t take care of our home… it is important to practice healthy habits to protect our earth and the beings that live in it,” confessed the Madrid native.
Regarding the topic of love, Álex said that, in the last six years, he had only had one agamous relationship. ”I find it a super interesting concept (…) Labels are overrated, live in the moment and enjoy polyamory. Loving one person is not incompatible with wanting another,’ asserted the single woman, who in turn confessed to having had a monogamous relationship. ”I would never experience a relationship like that again,” she explained.
At one point during the evening, the singles caught up on their sexual tastes. While Melissa considered herself a sexually active person, Álex was more shy with those types of questions. ”I would define myself as a person who likes sex a lot, but for many reasons I don’t practice it as much as I would like,” he said. ”The bathrooms in the clubs are my best friends,” she confessed before the bachelor’s watchful eye.
In the final stretch of the evening, the singles showed that their complicity could be the beginning of something very special. Therefore, in the final decision, Álex and Melissa confessed their desire to continue getting to know each other in a second meeting.
