The most popular love restaurant on the small screen closed its doors for another week. On Friday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners willing to give their all on their respective dates. But showing up for First Dates is not synonymous with finding love and many times diners end up being most disappointed.
Two of the great stars of the night were Olga and Ricky. The 29-year-old Valencian single claimed to be very focused on one’s personal development. ”I am brave, confident and spiritual,” she declared. Furthermore, she confessed to “believing in energies and that coincidences did not exist.” In love, the Valencian had not been particularly lucky because she had been more focused on knowing herself. ”I have never fallen in love,” she declared.
Her date was going to be Ricky, a 33-year-old single from Valencia, who believed a lot in energies. The first impression among the singles was not particularly good, especially on Olga’s part. ”I didn’t like it, for tastes, but I said let’s give it a chance,” she confessed. After exchanging their first words, Carlos Sobera accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about their previous relationships.
Olga surprised the bachelor by saying that she had only had a relationship many years ago. ”I’ve been very focused on myself,” she declared. On the other hand, the bachelor said that he had only been single for 4 months after an eight-year relationship. Something that clashed with the attitude of the single woman, who claimed that a person should be alone for a while to turn the page.
The date progressed and the singles did not seem to be getting along at all, despite having certain hobbies in common such as nature. But when the bachelor said that one of his great hobbies was playing the bagpipes, Olga was very surprised and even confessed that that instrument was not to her liking.
In the final stretch of the evening, the singles confessed to being people who believed a lot in energies. ”I’ve been right for a few years (…) Sometimes I’ve gone from saying ‘come on, maybe’, but deep down you know that’s not the case,” she said.
However, the bachelor’s explanations were not having much effect on the bachelor, who blatantly doubted the veracity of those words. ”I don’t think he is a spiritual person, nor a deep person, nor that he has energy or anything. I haven’t noticed that positivism, she thought about herself all the time,” he said. Therefore, in the final decision there was no doubt, and the singles were rejected.
