A single man surprises his 'First Dates' date with a harsh confession: ''He was kind of a religious pastor''

First Dates has become one of the funniest shows on television. Every day, millions of viewers eagerly wait for the broadcast of the program presented by Carlos Sobera to laugh and be moved by the singles and their life stories.

Although participants often fail to find their better half in the Mediaset España format, the vast majority of singles agree that they enjoy the evening and live a unique and different experience.

One of the protagonists of the last chapter was Javi, a 39-year-old clerk from Barcelona who arrived at the most famous restaurant on television looking for a person with whom to share small moments and make romantic plans.

The half-English man shared in the program in which Laura Boado works that he had a 14-year relationship with a “very handsome” Cuban man, but that it all ended because they opened a relationship, since his boy fell in love with someone else.

To have dinner with Javi, the program dedicated to love chose Frank, a 31-year-old English teacher who also lives in Barcelona. The young man presented himself as someone ambitious who seeks stability and has big plans for the future.

The first impression of the singles was very good and they quickly found common points and similar concerns, such as wanting to start a family and have children.

At one point during the meeting, Frank stunned the Catalan by confessing that in his day he was a very religious person who dedicated himself to preaching the word of God: ”He was a kind of religious pastor.” Faced with this revelation, Javi declared that he felt very confused: ”I’ve gone crazy.”

Shortly after, Frank revealed that he is now a much happier man because he has discovered Buddhism, a religion that helped him understand that there are millions of ways of seeing and interpreting things.

The singles faced the final decision of the program nervous, but confident, since they had shared a beautiful evening and had felt comfortable and relaxed at all times.

Frank highlighted Javi’s simplicity and tranquility, something that he loved from the beginning of the night, since he needs to surround himself with people who give him calm. At the end of the date, the two decided to give themselves a second chance and continue getting to know each other outside because they believed that something more than a simple friendship could emerge.
