For several years, First Dates has been the perfect place for different people to meet and enjoy a dream evening within the four walls of the most famous restaurant on the small screen. On Wednesday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners, who showed up at Cuatro’s space with the hope of having a fun evening and, if possible, meeting an interesting person.
One of the dates of the night was starring Juanjo and Gloria. The 62-year-old Catalan bachelor arrived at the restaurant claiming to be a smiling and fun person. ”I really like jokes and jokes,” he declared. After having had bad times in love, he wanted to find a romantic and fun woman. But before meeting his date, the bachelor showed off his humor and told Carlos Sobera a joke that the presenter did not particularly find funny.
His date was going to be Gloria, a 64-year-old Catalan, who considered herself a fun, joking and empathetic person. However, her smile disappeared from her face the moment she met Juanjo. ”She has not impacted me, I have not liked her physically. I would have liked someone taller. “I don’t like mustaches either,” she said.
After exchanging their first words, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about their love history. ”I can’t find that ideal person, I’m a little demanding because of everything I’ve been through, I don’t like lies,” he said. ”It doesn’t make much sense to lie because in the end that’s what you see,” she responded. Therefore, he was looking forward to finding a sincere woman with a good heart.
One of the couple’s commonalities was that they were both retired. Juanjo explained that he was currently living with his father to take care of him because he was 87 years old. ”He seems like a good person and that says a lot about him,” the single woman emphasized. But Juanjo’s kindness was not enough for Gloria, who as the dinner progressed, the clearer her decision became.
Regarding his hobbies, the bachelor listed the daily activities he carried out on a daily basis. ”Because I don’t go alone I’m not going anywhere,” he said. A confession that did not particularly excite the single woman. ”I don’t see it necessary to have someone to do things, at first it’s hard, but I saw that if she didn’t do things alone, she didn’t do anything. You have to have a decision,” she said.
In the final stretch of the evening, the singles continued to be at different points. Juanjo detailed that one of his great hobbies was “clowning.” But his touch of humor was not going to save a date destined for failure. Therefore, in the final decision, Gloria surprised Juanjo with her forceful rejection. ”I’ve been comfortable, but physically it’s not my type of name, nor has there been a spark. He is not an active person. “He is very slow and I need more movement,” she asserted. ”I am very active, but now I am relaxed,” he replied.
