Daniel Sancho, Edwin Arrieta’s confessed murderer, has turned out to have a façade facing the gallery that little by little is crumbling. Before his life turned upside down after killing Arrieta, the young cook seemed to have an idyllic life. A good example of this was the Pure enjoyment of him channel.
The channel, which has more than two thousand subscribers and only six videos, showed Daniel cooking delicious recipes on a grill. Everything seemed perfect, until Luis, a close friend of Sancho’s, revealed the truth to Europa Press.
Sancho, apparently, made believe that he was recording in his own home, located in one of the most exclusive areas of Madrid. However, according to the friend’s version, the terrace on which the videos were filmed did not actually belong to Sancho, but to another acquaintance of the young man. Therefore, the image of exclusivity and luxury that he intended to show has turned out to be false. In this sense, Luis explained that simply “we had a good grill, that’s all”.
But this lie is not an isolated event. Previously, other falsehoods in Sancho’s story had already been discovered. The scandal began with the disappearance of his friend Edwin Arrieta, initially denied, and which ended in a confession to the murder. Later, the chef assured that he got along very well with the Thai police and they had taken him to a luxury hotel for dinner, something that the press denied.
These revelations have left those who know him “completely shocked”, as Luis has acknowledged. According to him, the cook is “a good boy until one realizes certain things”, but he has confessed that nobody saw these events coming.
Regarding the situation of his friend in the Thai prison, Luis commented with anguish that “whatever I can imagine is sure to be a thousand times worse.” In addition, he has described this whole situation as “a horror movie” that he does not want to talk about too much.
Who has spoken has been Silvia Bronchalo, mother of the chef. Rodolfo Sancho’s ex-partner has traveled to Thailand to spend an hour and a half with her son, whom she has seen through a window. “For me it has been very difficult. Let me know that he is much better, that he is calm, they are treating him very well and to hope that everything is resolved”, she commented after leaving the meeting.
