The image of one of the most influential footballers in recent years has always been accompanied by strange situations. One of the most recent has been experienced by the couple of the club’s owner, Victoria Beckham. The well-known ex-singer of the Spice Girls had to help her daughter Harper get out of the Gekko restaurant, co-owned by the singer Bad Bunny, after an altercation occurred that indirectly involved the Argentine soccer player.
Victoria and the 12-year-old girl joined David at a dinner that was also attended by Lionel, his partner Antonella Roccuzzo, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, to celebrate Inter Miami’s victory against Charlotte FC in the semifinals of the League Cup. According to statements collected by the British newspaper The Daily Mail, a diner was interceded by the local employees after giving the impression that he was taking a photograph of the group without consent.
The person involved, who chose to remain anonymous, stated that this was not the case, and that he was actually photographing himself with his wife and the rest of his family, as they were celebrating their daughter’s 21st birthday. However, restaurant sources claim that the diner was intoxicated at the time of the incident, taking pictures of other tables without permission. It was then that the situation became complicated, both for the person involved and for the Beckham family.
Once outside the restaurant, there was a new altercation that ended with the singer’s security team intervening, attacking the diner and giving him multiple blows to the body and face, leaving his right eye very inflamed and his nose bloody. For her part, Victoria hurried to leave Harper in the SUV in which they had both driven to the restaurant, while the rest of the restaurant attendees were not involved.
The ex-singer and designer did not make any type of comment or statement regarding what happened. The only thing remotely close, but not mentioning the incident either, were some photos that Beckham shared of the dinner on her Instagram profile. In them she can be seen together with Harper and the rest of the guests, enjoying an evening that was initially calm and pleasant.
