The search for love has found a refuge on television, specifically on First Dates, the Cuatro program that has revolutionized the way singles meet and get to know each other. In this unique space, people from diverse backgrounds and with different life stories come together in the hope of finding their better half.
The restaurant run by Carlos Sobera has hosted the meeting between Juanma, a man from Alicante with a fascinating story of improvement after living in Africa, and Luis, a Colombian living in Malaga with a deep reflection on his sexual identity.
From the first moment, the chemistry between them was evident, although it was not without surprises and small setbacks. Luis confessed that he still lived with his former partner, a detail that tested Juanma’s understanding and openness. ”That’s difficult to manage,” said the bachelor.
As the meeting progressed, personal stories were told, from Juanma’s fight against malaria in Equatorial Guinea to his inexplicable stay in prison, events that surprised Luis. ”I almost died of malaria and they put me in jail too,” the bachelor told his date. Apparently, everything was a company thing. “I wanted to understand that it was due to some misunderstanding,” said Luis.
Finally, after a visit to the booth, a call to a friend and several kisses, both Luis and Juanma decided that, despite all their differences, they wanted to leave the program and continue getting to know each other outside.
