With a view to improving speed control on Spanish roads, the Civil Traffic Guard has created a new tool that promises to mark a before and after in road safety: the laser radar gun.

It is a portable device that is currently in operation in Elche. Created with advanced technology, this radar demonstrates great effectiveness in detecting violations. We tell you all the details below.

This new device has a series of notable features. First of all, unlike conventional radars, laser radar has a built-in camera, which allows it to capture images that support sanctions.

Likewise, this new radar can detect speeds of up to 320 km/h at a distance of up to 1,200 meters, making it an instrument that is difficult to avoid. Regarding its autonomy, this tool has up to 8 hours of continuous use with a full charge, ideal for full work days.

As we have been pointing out in the previous lines, this laser allows images to be captured, thus facilitating the sanction process; This is due to data encryption that downloads the files necessary to support the complaints automatically, so the sanctions arrive in less time.

In addition to detecting excessive speeds, this device can be used to measure the flow of vehicles on certain stretches, thus evaluating the current traffic flow. Without a doubt, it is a multifaceted tool that will help combat the most common violation committed by drivers in Spain: speeding.
