Vitoria-Gasteiz will illuminate its most emblematic buildings in yellow until Sunday on the occasion of the Grand Départ Pays Basque 2023, to celebrate that there are 100 days left until the second stage of the gala round leaves the city.

In a statement, the city council has informed that the facade of the town hall, that of the Provincial Council of Álava, that of the General Meetings of Álava and Los Arquillos, will be dyed in the color of the Tour de France.

In addition, from March 24 to 26, the logo of the Grand Départ Pays Basque 2023 and the silhouette of a bicycle will also be projected onto the floor of the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca.

On the other hand, the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council has reported that for yet another year it adheres to ‘Earth Hour’, so on Saturday, March 25, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the lighting on the façade of the the town hall, the Arquillos and Plaza de la Virgen Blanca.

In this way, the institution from Vitoria joins the world movement for the fight against climate change and the loss of biodiversity. More than 190 countries participate in this initiative.

On the other hand, he recalled that at 10:00 p.m. the lighting of the town hall will be turned off again, to comply with the energy saving decree law currently in force.
