The French team TotalEnergies and the Norwegian Uno
The race director, Christian Prudhomme, assured this Thursday that they have awarded the two invitations following a sporting logic, since both teams finished in 21st and 22nd places in the UCI classification in 2023.
In the case of the Norwegian team, he assured that their behavior in the Tour “left a good impression” and that they hope it will improve thanks to the promotion of young Tobias Johannessen, winner of the 2021 Tour del Porvenir.
TotalEnergies, for its part, has Mathieu Burgaudeau, who was second in one stage and finished three times in the top ten, noted Prudhomme.
Along with these two teams will be the 18 that make up the UCI-Pro Tour, among them the Spanish Movistar, as well as the two that finished first in the second division, the Belgian Lotto and Israel.
Prudhomme also announced that TotalEnergies will also have an invitation to Paris-Nice, like the Swiss team Tudor, which finished 25th last year and has been reinforced by the Italian Matteo Trentin and the Australian Michael Storer.
In the Dauphiné, the guests will be Uno
