This is the Tavascan, Cupra's striking electric SUV that will hit the market for 52,000 euros

Cupra will launch the firm’s new electric coupe SUV this summer: the Tavascan. This striking proposal will arrive next June and its price will be around 52,000 euros, so it will begin to be delivered after summer.

The vehicle will have two power levels: endurance, with 286 horsepower (CV), and VZ with 340 HP. Likewise, the most powerful version of the Tavascan will have two engines, offering a maximum range of up to 568 kilometers for the VZ version.

The Tavascan will be Cupra’s second fully electric vehicle after the Born, complementing the firm’s commercial catalog with the plug-in hybrid versions of the Cupra León, Cupra León Sportstourer and Cupra Formentor.

Among its most special features is its efficiency, since it will be able to achieve an additional 100 kilometers of autonomy in just 7 minutes. In fact, when the battery drops to 10%, it is possible to increase the charge to 80% in just under half an hour.

“In 2019 we had the vision to reinvent electrification: we wanted to show the world that the Tavascan is not a vehicle that responds to change, but creates it. So it was just a dream; Now, with the Cupra Tavascan, our dream comes true,” said the brand’s CEO, Wayne Griffiths.

Cupra’s design director has made it clear that this new vehicle is a “bold and organic new interpretation of electric performance, built on solid lines and an athletic and purposeful appearance.”
