This is the new and spectacular creation of Pininfarina, with almost 2,000 HP

The Pininfarina automobile design studio has presented an impressive electric hypercar powered by four motors and inspired by the iconic Lancia Florida, a car that caused a sensation in the 1950s and which turned out to be one of the favorites of its creator, himself. Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina.

The new creation is called Battista Cinquantacinque, which means fifty-five in Italian and is the year in which the presentation of the Lancia Florida show-car took place. This hypercar represents a tribute to automotive history, while fusing current technology with advanced aesthetics.

The first generation of the Florida had four doors, had no B-pillar, had the headlights mounted on the grille and had a flat side with a single curvature that appeared just above the wheel arches. Two years later, Farina conceived the Florida II, an elegant two-door coupe with a 2.6-liter V6 engine.

Its creator said of him that of all the cars he had designed, this was the only one he considered “a work of art that made him touch the sky.” It is no coincidence then that it was the car he used daily until he died in 1966.

This is not the first time that the Italian brand has been inspired by this legendary model, as the Pura Vision concept, a statement of intent for future Pininfarina models, also takes the Florida as a reference.

Like the original car from the mid-20th century, the stunning Battista Cinquantacinque sports a body painted in Blu Savoia Gloss and features a contrasting Bianco Sestriere Gloss roof. The hypercar also sports some inscriptions with the number 55 on the passenger door and at the bottom of the rear spoiler.

The interior exudes pure luxury and Italian style: the seats, dashboard and doors are upholstered in custom-made Poltrona Frau Heritage leather. In addition, it incorporates all the cutting-edge technology, which makes it a really interesting set.

The Cinquantacinque is equipped with four independent electric motors, which give it a total power of 1,900 HP and 2,340 Nm of maximum torque. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.86 seconds (and to 200 km/h in 4.76 seconds). It incorporates a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a generous range of up to 476 km.

Each customer who wants to get a copy of this Pininfarina will enjoy a personalized experience tailored to their taste, since each unit will be manufactured by hand at the Battista Atelier facilities in Cambiano (Italy). The Battista Cinquantacinque will make its public debut in Tokyo (Japan).

In the video below you can see the enormous power of the hypercars of the Battista line, among which the recently presented one appears.
