The beauty of some cars makes us consider them as true works of art on wheels. The uniqueness of their shapes, the elegance of their lines and the meticulousness of every detail captivate us and make us appreciate them as unique pieces in the world of automobiles. But beyond their attractiveness, these cars are simply vehicles that allow us to move from one place to another, like any other automobile, no matter how simple it may be.
On the other hand, the Spanish firm Hurtan can boast of having put a work of art on wheels. This company from Granada, which has been designing and manufacturing cars by hand for three decades, presents one of the most exceptional examples in its collection: the Grand Albaycín Avengers. A car that will be auctioned next week, specifically between March 7 and 10, according to Hurtan on his website.
With the help of Chilean painter Víctor Castillo and his own craftsmanship, Hurtan has managed to merge contemporary art with automotive engineering to create a vehicle that goes beyond simple functionality. The result is a festival of shapes and colors that represent in comic form the most iconic couple of The Avengers, Wanda and Vision, on the body of the Grand Albaycín.
Every centimeter of the surface of this spectacular roadster built on the basis of the Mazda MX-5 pays homage to the two main superheroes. He does it in the purest comic style and with the personal touch that Víctor Castillo gives to each of his works.
The exterior appearance of the car with the pop art style that Castillo permeates his works continues in the cabin. The interior is presented as a representation of the rest of the members of the superhero group created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby that this year celebrates the 60th anniversary of its launch. The blue of Captain America, the red and yellow of IronMan or the green of the Incredible Hulk are the colors that decorate the interior space of the Grand Albaycín.
The finishes are complemented by the interior frames that match the exterior. They have also been hand-painted by Víctor Castillo, as has the reinterpretation of the Avengers logo, present on the headrests and steering wheel of this exclusive piece that has become a work of art. However, the most representative scene of the comic painted on the car is the one that the Chilean artist captured on the trunk lid. In it you can see the superhero couple kissing passionately.
This unique car with the Avengers comic painted on its body will be auctioned to benefit the Lucha de Gigantes project. To access the bid it is necessary to register in advance, providing a photograph or PDF of your DNI or CIF if you are a legal entity.
