The firm Volkswagen Group Services Iberia, a service company of the Volkswagen Group, opens its headquarters in Valencia to reinforce its growth and promote “strategic alliances” in Spain. This is how the company presents itself, specializing in Human Resource Management, Consulting and Technology Services, which has chosen to locate its head office in the Town Hall square as Power Co., the company that will manage the Sagunt battery gigafactory, already did. They do not rule out, however, opening new locations “in the future”.

The choice of Valencia is directly linked to the future SEAT-Volkswagen plant in the Valencian Community, since they ensure that “in this way, the company intends to establish greater proximity with the new client, as well as attract qualified talent from the region”.

Hiring will be an important aspect, as the firm has explained, in the already tense Valencian labor market, where the dispute over technological profiles has increased, especially in recent months. Currently, the company’s forecast is to hire about 25 professionals, in the first year alone, in the areas of Consulting and Industrial Engineering, as well as a position in the Human Resources area. “The goal is for the staff at this new headquarters in Valencia to be made up of around 50 professionals by the end of 2024,” the company has confirmed.

“The opening of this new office in Valencia is an important milestone for Volkswagen Group Services. This is a tactical expansion that will strengthen our presence in the region and allow us to offer excellent services to our clients. The strategic location of the city, together with our association with Power Co., provides us with a solid base to drive innovation and sustainable growth in the automotive sector”, declares José Leal, CEO of Volkswagen Group Services Iberia.

The one in Valencia will be the fourth headquarters of the company in the Iberian Peninsula, and joins those of Palmela (Portugal), opened in 2005; Navarra, created in 2012 and Barcelona, ??inaugurated in 2014. It will maintain the so-called “corporate excellence policies” that the Group works to apply in all its operations, as well as collaboration with government entities, and also with local universities. , since the company is convinced of strengthening the connections between academia and the automotive industry.

Likewise, it will follow the growth of Power Co. and will participate in the hiring of specialized professionals for the Volkswagen Group.
