About twenty TecnoCampus students have obtained a scholarship for excellence for new access to the degrees and masters taught at the center. The awarding of these scholarships took place on December 5, in an event in which the best academic records of the class that completed their studies last year were also recognized. Apart from these scholarships, TecnoCampus students can opt for other types of aid (own scholarships and scholarships from public administrations) in which other aspects such as family economic capacity are valued.
During the event, which was filled with family and friends of the scholarship recipients, different scholarships were awarded that aim to reward the academic resume of the applicants, thus recognizing merit and effort in their studies.
Specifically, 14 Talent Scholarships were awarded, which are co-financed by the Pompeu Fabra University. A Business-Business University scholarship was also awarded, financed by the Aquahotel company; Three Impulsa scholarships have also been awarded, awarded by TecnoCampus; and three scholarships for athletes from the city of Mataró, co-financed by Futsal and CN Mataró.
The general director of the TecnoCampus, Josep Lluís Checa; the commissioner of the UPF Group, Carles Ramió; the vice president of TecnoCampus, Sergi Morales; the academic director of the TecnoCampus, Elisa Sayrol; the manager of the Mataró Swimming Center, Jordi Neria; and the president of Futsal Mataró, Albert Sallent, were in charge of handing out the diplomas.
In addition to scholarships for academic merit, TecnoCampus also grants each year aid for undergraduate tuition for reasons of family income, which are compatible with those granted by the Generalitat and the State, and are renewed annually. In the 2022-2023 academic year, TecnoCampus has allocated a total of 559,000 euros to scholarships and aid from its own programs for all TecnoCampus students.
Throughout last Tuesday’s event, diplomas were also awarded to the best students of each of the degrees and double degrees that can be taken at the TecnoCampus. This recognition is awarded to the best average grade among all students who completed their studies in the 2022-2023 academic year. These recognitions were presented by the department directors of TecnoCampus: Julián Horrillo (Technology), Dolors Celma (Business), Adso Fernández (Cultural Industries) and Meritxell Puyané (Health).
