We live in a changing world where everything evolves. The occupation and employability policies of society are also transformed. By 2035, 14 million employment opportunities will be generated, of which almost 4 million will be for vocational training technicians, according to the vocational training observatory. All of them will be conditioned by digitalization, sustainability and demographic change.
A forecast that clashes with the data that current events show us. Almost 40% of the active population has a low qualification and almost 30% has an intermediate qualification, which right now would be insufficient to aspire to a vacancy in about two years.
Faced with the challenge of training future talents, the new vocational training can be the solution to provide not only young students with an adequate academic curriculum to assume the new work frameworks, but also employed and unemployed workers.
With the new law, a single Vocational Training system must be achieved. Until now the FP educational system and the employment system worked separately. Now they are integrated so that all people, students and workers (employed and unemployed) can more easily access lifelong learning.
To resolve all doubts about the future of employment and the preparation of Spaniards to apply for a job, La Vanguardia and CaixaBank will offer an informative event to address all doubts in relation to vocational training and the future of work in Spain.
To do this, we will have different people who are experts in professional teaching. Together, they will discuss the role that Vocational Training will play in the labor market in recent years. Data will appear that, by way of analysis, will compare the Spanish employment and vocational training situation with other countries in the European Union. Without forgetting the testimony of busy workers who continue their training in vocational training to continue expanding their curriculum.
