The implementation of the 100% electric car continues to grow at a slow pace, but light hybridization is currently one of the most demanded and logical options in the current context. These hybrids make it possible to reduce consumption and emissions without depending on plug-in recharging and, in addition, allow you to enjoy the advantages of the DGT Eco label.

Opel’s message is resounding: electrification for all. For this reason, the new Opel Corsa Hybrid is available in monthly installments, starting at 99 euros. The popular German model has this technology for the first time and thus reinforces its positioning in a very competitive segment.

The Corsa Hybrid features a 1.2 three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline block, which is available in two power levels, 100 and 136 HP (GS), respectively. In both cases, the engine is coupled to a new electrified six-speed dual-clutch transmission (eDCT6) and an electric motor with a power of 21 kW, equivalent to 28 HP.

Opel uses a lithium-ion battery that is recharged in certain driving conditions, basically during deceleration. In urban circulation it is capable of reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 18%. The Corsa Hybrid has approved consumption from 4.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions from 101 g/km. In the Corsa Hybrid GS version, consumption starts at 4.6 l/100 km and CO2 emissions at 103 g/km.

The hybridization operation is simple and the driver does not have to intervene. The electric motor helps the gasoline engine in the acceleration phase, especially when starting from a standstill. It also provides additional torque, especially at low revs. It is possible to travel up to one kilometer in electric mode at low speeds – up to 30 km/h – or drive 50% of the time with zero emissions in the city, thanks to energy recovery. The Corsa Hybrid has three driving modes, Eco, Normal and Sport.

This version of the Opel Corsa has specific screens in its digital instrumentation. Optional on the Corsa Hybrid and standard on the Corsa Hybrid GS, the speed numbers change color when the vehicle runs on electricity only. There is also a screen that reports on the flow of energy between the battery, gasoline engine and wheels, as well as the state of charge of the battery.

In terms of infotainment, the Corsa range enjoys a multimedia system with a 10-inch color touch screen that provides cutting-edge graphics, multimedia and connectivity functions. In addition, smartphones can be connected and recharged wirelessly.

The new Corsa Hybrid also stands out for its safety equipment. It incorporates numerous technologies and assistance systems as standard, such as forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, active lane positioning, sign recognition and drowsiness detection.

The list of options offered by Opel includes technologies such as Matrix Intelli-Lux LED anti-glare light, sports side blindness alert and high-resolution panoramic rear view camera.

In short, it is an excellent car equipped with hybridization that can be enjoyed for 99 euros per month, with a down payment of 4,881.87 euros and a final fee of 14,911 euros.
