The 2024 Travel Bonus program, promoted by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, started this Tuesday, January 2 at 10:00 a.m., reaching more than 120,000 applications only during the first four hours from the beginning of the appointment period, a requirement essential to request registration in this edition’s program.
In this way, the first applicants who already have an appointment must register for the program according to the day and time indicated, with this process starting on January 9. The first Travel Vouchers will be distributed starting January 15, and can be enjoyed from January 16 to June 3, excluding Easter, and from October 15 to December 22.
The Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes, has thus pointed out that “this Tuesday the new edition of the Travel Bonus for the year 2024 began, with some difficulties during the first minutes, due to the computer collapse of applications.” , but which, as confirmed, have already been resolved as soon as possible and “the program works correctly.”
In this sense, Montes has declared that “all those registered in the Valencian Community who wish to enjoy the program, created for the deseasonalization of tourism, can from today request an appointment to register and receive the Travel Bonus.”
Montes has assured that “the rate of requests this year is very high, and in just half an hour, more than 50,000 people had already requested an appointment.” A figure that amounted to more than 100,000 requests during the first two hours from the start of the program and more than 120,000 requests until 2:00 p.m.
With these results, the councilor is grateful for the great acceptance of the program, which mobilizes more than 25 million euros in the tourism sector of the Valencian Community in the low season, and predicts that “the 2024 edition will be a success.”
