The negotiation of the ERE in Ford Valencia is rooted in the age of the people who will be affected by the process of massive departure from the company. As the unions explained this Monday, the discussion focuses on the age ranges for early retirement, since UGT-PV denounces that the company’s management has placed “special emphasis on including part of the younger workforce in the ERE”. .

For this reason, the formation requests sufficient incentives in an exit process that the company intends to liquidate “before the summer holidays”, as they explained last Thursday.

Among the position of the workers, UGT-PV asks to lower the age and extend the terms of execution, a position “antagonistic to the wishes of the management”, they have explained. His proposal is to agree on the model plans that they already agreed on in 2020 and 2021 to guarantee social peace.

To negotiate, UGT-PV brandishes the argument of the tense negotiation that allowed the Electrification Agreement to be concluded, of which UGT-PV was its staunch defender. “Now it is up to the company management to demand the same responsibility towards the workforce.”

For its part, STM-Intersindical Valenciana considers that the company “is very ambitious because it thinks that there will be enough volunteers who take advantage of the ERE for the financial compensation plan.”

Likewise, they defend that it is “essential” that all departures are voluntary, for this reason they consider it “basic and essential” to increase the age ranges, in addition to lowering the initial number of 1,144 affected. The next meeting will be held later this week.
