It is not common, in the current automotive scene, for a manufacturer to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of a specific model. But the truth is that Kia is celebrating the Sportage, an SUV of which more than 7 million units have been sold worldwide. That’s how it is. Since 1993, the Sportage has accumulated a highly commendable track record across its five generations, even becoming Kia’s best-selling model since 2015. Synonymous with innovation, the brand celebrates this anniversary with a special limited edition with many improvements.
But first, it is worth remembering that the fifth generation Sportage is an excellent example of sustainable mobility, with different mechanical options to choose from and a big leap in design and quality. It is available with six different technologies: gasoline, gasoline with mild hybridization MHEV, diesel, diesel with mild hybridization MHEV, gasoline with conventional hybridization HEV and gasoline with plug-in hybridization PHEV.
The 30th Anniversary Edition of the Kia SUV is now available in our market at the Korean brand’s dealerships. The price of this special edition is 36,153 euros with discounts and without financing. The new Sportage is distinguished by gloss black contour lines on the side windows and spoiler, as well as new decorative inserts in dark chrome finish at the front, rear and sides.
This special edition, which is offered with the 1.6 T-GDi MHEV engine with 150 HP and front-wheel drive, has important new features on the exterior and also on the interior. Tinted windows, gloss black 19-inch alloy wheels and dark chrome skid plates also help elevate the exterior appeal. To give it a more exclusive look if possible, the 30th Anniversary Edition is available in a brand new color called Wolf Grey. But there are other body colors available such as Deluxe White, Cassa White and Experience Green. All of them with the attractive black two-tone roof.
The celebration continues inside, and the carefully finished suede and faux leather upholstered seats provide drivers and passengers with a premium feel. Also contributing to this is the electric adjustment of the front seats, heating for the seats and steering wheel, as well as an optional ambient light.
Two 12.3-inch screens and smart key functions complete the attractive interior. Additionally, the 30th Anniversary Edition offers a new specific interior color package, Midnight Green, which adds a premium touch to the Sportage.
In its current generation, the Sportage provides an interesting approach, with dimensions very appropriate to become a family car. Its dimensions make it suitable for everyday use or for weekend or vacation trips.
It has a length of 4.51 meters and a trunk capacity of 562 liters, usable and easily accessible. The habitability is remarkable, both in the front and rear seats. Even people taller than 1.80 meters sitting in the back will feel comfortable due to the space available.
