The keys to avoid dangerous drowsiness at the wheel

According to the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), lack of sleep is responsible, directly or indirectly, for between 15 and 30% of traffic accidents that occur in Spain. And, despite what we may believe, it is not an exclusive phenomenon of the night, daytime accidents being very numerous for this very reason.

So that this does not happen, and as long as we do not have ailments such as sleep apnea that can affect it, we must follow some very simple advice that, on more than one occasion, can save our lives.

The hours in which you can find yourself the most sleepy when driving are between three and 5 in the morning and between two and four in the afternoon.

If the journey is long and, furthermore, you haven’t done it much, avoid doing it at night

If you follow these tips, it will be more difficult for you to fall asleep at the wheel. Any precaution on the road is little and what is really important is, as you already know, to arrive at your destination and not arrive before.
