The Jaguar F-Type, a beloved and beautiful sports car, is bidding farewell as the production of its final model comes to an end. The 75 Special Edition in 2022 hinted at the end, but now it’s official: this is the last F-Type ever. The final model pays homage to the iconic E-Type with a special Giola Green exterior and tan Windsor leather interior, reminiscent of the 1974 E-Type.

Not only is this the final farewell to the F-Type, but it also marks the end of an era for Jaguar’s powerful 5.0-liter V-8 engine. With 444 horsepower in this model, the more potent SVR versions boasted up to 575 horsepower. As Jaguar gears up for electric vehicles, this V-8 engine represents the last of its kind. However, this particular F-Type won’t be up for sale to the public. Instead, it will find its home at the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust in the UK, alongside rare Jaguar and Daimler models dating back to the late 1800s.

Before the production came to a close, Jaguar treated fans to special editions like the 75 Special Edition and the ZP Edition, limited to 150 units worldwide. These variants paid tribute to the E-Type with custom features and designs. The Heritage 60 edition in 2020 also honored the F-Type’s legacy with the iconic Sherwood Green paint. Over its 10-year production run, Jaguar sold 87,731 F-Type models, surpassing the E-Type’s sales by 15,000 units. The F-Type has left a lasting impression and will surely be missed by enthusiasts.

As Jaguar looks towards an electric future with the upcoming electric GT car in 2025, the F-Type’s final model serves as a poignant reminder of the brand’s legacy in the world of sports cars. The end of production marks the end of an era for the F-Type and the iconic V-8 engine, but it also opens the door to new possibilities in Jaguar’s lineup. The F-Type may be coming to a close, but its spirit and impact will live on in the hearts of automotive enthusiasts for years to come.
