Millions of road trips are expected during Easter and users must remember that their safety is everyone’s. This is the message that the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) will launch this Friday in its new awareness campaign, which will last until April 12 with the message: “More than 40 million daily trips and they still think they are alone.”
With the motto that “Driving is sharing”, this new campaign can be seen and heard on television, radio, printed media, digital media, social networks and cinemas.
To illustrate its message, the DGT has released an advertisement in which it shows several people singing the song Alone again by Celine Dion while driving as if they were alone on the road. An idea very far from reality.
In the clip, you can see how their driving ways come into conflict with other cars, with pedestrians and with users of personal mobility vehicles such as scooters, among others.
In its campaign, the management warns that driving is not an individual act although many people think that it is, that their skill behind the wheel is enough to carry out any trip safely and that it is others who create dangerous situations.
According to the DGT, the campaign will be repeated on television, cinemas and social networks and spots have also been developed for radio and texts for outdoor media and print media.
In addition, the page https://novassolo.dgt.es/ has been created where users will be able to play with the central concept of the “You are not alone” campaign, through the reproduction of a video of a tour with a double point of view.
