Seville became the scene of a cinematic chase carried out by the Local Police, last Wednesday, January 24 at noon. The event began when the agents who were on Menéndez Pelayo Avenue observed a sudden maneuver by a vehicle. When trying to stop him, the driver, who turned out to lack a driving license, opted for a quick escape that triggered a risky chase through the city center.
During the escape, the defiant driver drove in a prohibited direction, along the metro center lane, sidewalks and pedestrian areas, endangering passers-by and nearly hitting two people on the way. The dramatic chase ended with the arrest of the vehicle’s occupant and the driver, who tried to escape on foot but was quickly intercepted by several agents.
As can be seen in the images of the events, disseminated by the local emergency services on social networks, the vehicle in question was a gray Seat León. The police managed to intervene on Felipe Hauser Street, between Málaga and Cádiz avenues.
The arrest of the two individuals occurred thanks to the rapid and efficient response of the motorized units, official cars and plainclothes agents who were deployed throughout the Prado area of ??San Sebastián.
The Local Police staff in the area of ??the Prado courts in San Sebastián set off the alarms. After suspecting two individuals inside a parked vehicle, the Seat protagonist of the story, they proceeded to verify the license plate.
They detected that it was a stolen vehicle, and the officers tried to approach the occupants, who responded by starting a frantic flight through the streets, thus triggering a police chase.
