Filling the tank is becoming more and more expensive. So far this year, fuels (gasoline and diesel) have increased by 27% and 15.5% respectively, according to the latest data from the European Union Petroleum Bulletin, which includes the average price recorded in more than 11,400 Spanish service stations.
Although the cost of both fuels in our country is lower than the average in the euro zone, the increase has been uninterrupted for weeks, which continues to worry users.
Gasoline has had 12 weeks of increases and in that time it has always been above 1.70 euros per liter. In the case of diesel, it also has 12 consecutive weeks on the rise and has had 6 consecutive weeks above 1.6 euros per liter.
The sustained rise in fuel prices continues to take its toll on car drivers, but especially truck drivers. The road transport association Fenadismer has demanded the adoption “immediately” of new aid for the sector, since the bonus is reduced by half and fuel continues to become more expensive.
In October, users will be attentive to see if fuel prices continue to rise and at which gas stations they can refuel more economically.
