Maserati is experiencing a sweet moment and regains prestige. In the midst of renewal of the range, the legendary Italian brand of the trident is enjoying the success of its two attractive SUV models, Grecale and Levante, and is preparing for the full electrification of its luxurious and sports cars.
Meanwhile, the Italian manufacturer does not forget the usual sports cars, those that provide glamor and prestige. This is the case of the latest addition to the range, a luxury vehicle that in its new convertible version highlights the stylistic details and noble materials for which Maserati is known.
Indeed, the new GranCabrio is a car that arrives to further improve the travel experience in the name of the most immersive driving pleasure, in total harmony and fusion with the landscape and spirit of travel typical of the GranCabrio customer.
The elegance of the Maserati GranCabrio is perceived and appreciated even more from the outside, when the top is open and the V6 engine can express its character. This three-liter block develops a power of 542 HP. With a top speed of 316 km/h, it is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3.6 seconds.
The union with the road and the landscape is an incomparable experience that can only be offered by the open version of a vehicle that has been the protagonist of a success story that spans more than 60 years: the convertible variant of Maserati’s first road sports car, the 3500 GT, was presented at the 1959 Geneva Motor Show.
The GranCabrio is the convertible version of the GranTurismo and sports an unusually long body, 4.97 meters, for this type of car. With a fabric hood and four seats (2 2), it is one of the few sports cars of this style that is close to 5 meters in length. Rival, in any case, of the Bentley Continental GT Convertible, BMW 8 Series Cabrio or Mercedes CLE Cabrio.
The GranCabrio’s top is made of fabric, designed to take up as little space as possible when it is automatically stored in the trunk. The operation takes only 14 seconds, even in motion, at speeds of up to 50 km/h. Space for four passengers is also guaranteed, as the GranCabrio is ideal for traveling in company or alone with your hair flying in the wind.
Maserati has carefully taken care of all the details so that the outdoor driving experience is, in addition to being exciting, comfortable. Thus, the top, which is available in five colors, can be operated from the central screen using a touch button, for total control and absolute autonomy.
It also comes standard with an innovative neck warmer that offers three different intensity levels for the driver and passenger. Optionally, a rear windscreen can be fitted, which can be used with two passengers and folded manually.
And when the top is open, this protective element reduces the formation of turbulence inside the cabin to fully enjoy the vehicle’s aerodynamics.
Currently available with the Trofeo launch version, Maserati offers a complete infotainment system with online services. Safety also gets the luxury treatment, with all the current driver assistance systems (ADAS).
