The Peugeot E-3008 is the first model to use Stellantis’ new STLA Medium platform, which takes the brand to the next level. This innovative platform specially adapted for electrified vehicles has been designed to offer the best performance in its category in the most important criteria for customers: autonomy (up to 700 km), charging time (30 minutes), driving pleasure, performance, efficiency and connected services and features (Trip Planner, Smart Charging, Vehicle-to-Charge Updates and Over The Air).

Peugeot has set itself the goal of offering the widest range of electric cars of any generalist brand in Europe by 2025, and reaching 100% of the brand’s electric sales in the Old Continent in 2030. With the new E-3008 , the lion brand takes another step forward, also reaching a new level in terms of creativity in its design, driving pleasure and electrical performance.

The current 3008 is a best-seller that has seduced more than 1,320,000 customers in 130 countries over the last 7 years and to replace it the French firm has opted for a totally different vehicle concept: a completely new electric fastback SUV. The range will be based on 2 trim levels, Allure and GT, with 3 option packages to simplify the choice, and 3 fully electric powertrains (210 HP, 230 HP Long Range and 320 HP Dual Motor (4-wheel drive) There will also be hybrid engines, depending on the market.

The new E-3008 is immediately recognizable by its fastback SUV-like design style. With its dynamic shape, feline posture and aerodynamics (Cx 0.28), it combines elegance, efficiency and spaciousness. The liveliness of the lines is due to the balanced dimensions of the vehicle (length: 4.54 m, width: 1.89 m, height: 1.64 m), so that it remains one of the most compact in the category of 100% electric C-segment SUVs, while offering ample space for passengers and luggage.

With the E-3008, Peugeot introduces a new treatment for the front. Although the iconic three-claw lighting signature remains intact, the treatment of the headlights and grille is radically new. The nose is designed around the brand’s new emblem, integrating the new light signature and the grille without delimitations, thanks to a gradient in the body color.

The ultra-compact headlights are housed in a thin, elegant strip that sits above the radiator grille and wraps around the entire front end. This is a distinctive design feature that gives the new E-3008 a particularly penetrating appearance, affirming its modernity and personality.

At the rear, the traditional slope of the fastback line has been modernized with a “floating” spoiler. This innovative feature highlights the curve of the new E-3008’s body while optimizing aerodynamics. The generous rear of the new E-3008 offers a dynamic style, underlined by the emblematic three-claw lighting signature – in 3D in the GT versions -, while maintaining good space in the second row and a boot volume (520 liters , whatever the engine) identical to the previous 3008.

In terms of exterior finish, the E-3008 embodies a new, more modern and durable approach. The chrome parts have been eliminated in favor of lacquered ones: Meteor Gray on the front apron and rear bumper, Orbital Black on the mirror housings and the lower belt line.

And regarding the interior, the evolution is no less significant. The introduction of the ‘i-Cockpit Panoramic’ confirms that Peugeot continues to focus on a small steering wheel format with a top display of the instrumentation. Thanks to the new 21-inch curved floating screen structure, the view is now panoramic. This configuration will be reserved for the GT finish, while the Allure will have two integrated 10” screens.

The French SUV is equipped with a lithium-ion battery, liquid-cooled and with a heat pump, which will be available in two capacities: 73 and 98 kWh. The 73 kWh battery can be associated with a single front motor of 157 kW of power (210 HP); or a pair of engines – all-wheel drive – that deliver 240 kW (320 HP) working together. This battery gives it a range of 525 km.

In the case of the 98 kW battery, it is associated with a 170 kW (230 HP) motor and announces a range of up to 700 km. Regardless of the battery, the Peugeot E-3008 supports a charging power of 11 kW (optionally 22 kW) with alternating current and up to 160 kW with direct current. According to this, recovering 80% would take less than half an hour. The vehicle also has bidirectional charging, to power external devices with up to 3 kW of power.
