The German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has recalled around 341,000 vehicles worldwide due to a potential fire risk, according to an alert issued this Thursday by the German Federal Office of Motor Vehicles (KBA).
The alert published in the KBA database and collected by DPA indicates that the affected models are the GLE and GLS manufactured between 2017 and 2023.
According to this, a threaded connection on the terminal of a 48-volt ground wire could have become loose during the assembly process and caused a fire risk. For this reason, we advise that this connection must be checked and repaired if necessary.
In Germany, the recall affects more than 11,000 vehicles, although Mercedes-Benz has not yet confirmed or denied the data released by the KBA.
