The class is called “Humor: Serious business” and it’s taught by Jennifer Aaker, Naomi Bagdonas, and Naomi Bagdonas at Stanford’s Business School. They believe humor is a key component of good leadership and business.

Jennifer Aaker

Jennifer Aaker, a behavioral scientist and professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business, is Jennifer Aaker.

Aaker earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. She also received her Ph.D. (Marketing and Psychology) from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She co-authored the 2010 book “The Dragonfly Effect”: Quick, Effective and Powerful Methods to Use Social Media To Drive Social Change.

About Naomi Bagdonas

Naomi Bagdonas is a Stanford Graduate School of Business lecturer in management. She offers workshops to companies from startups to Fortune 100.

Bagdonas received her bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College in psychology and economics, and her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

The book “Humor, Seriously” was co-written by Aaker, Bagdonas, and published in 2021.
