Images of the accident that took place on March 1 in Louisville (USA) come to light. The American news portal The Shade Room has been responsible for publishing the video on its X profile (formerly Twitter).
In it you can see the truck driver losing control of her vehicle after colliding with a car. The events took place on the Clark Memorial Bridge, a bridge over the Ohio River.
The chilling images show both the interior of the truck and the point of view of the driver, who was trapped inside the vehicle hanging from the bridge. Luckily, Louisville firefighters managed to rescue her from it.
As for the rescue, it took about 40 minutes to set up a rope system and position someone over the edge of the bridge to rappel down to the cabin and hook the driver into the safety harness to get her out safely.
Fortunately, Sydney Thomas, the 26-year-old truck driver, was able to be rescued after being suspended almost 30 meters high for 45 minutes.
