Three Spanish business schools, IESE, Esade and IE Business School, are among the top twenty in the world with the best business management programs (MBA), according to the classification published by the Financial Times. Also in the ranking is, in 94th place, EADA Business School Barcelona.
Of the different master’s degrees taught in Spain, the one that obtains the best score is that of IESE, which is also ranked as the third best in Europe and fifth in the world. Esade, second in Spain, is in seventeenth position in the world, and IE Business School is in twentieth place. The city of Barcelona is also in a good position, since all of the Spanish programs except those from IE Business School can be taken in the Catalan capital.
The world ranking is headed by the American school Wharton, from the University of Pennsylvania, ahead of the French school Insead. In third position are the Columbia business school, in the United States, and the Italian SDA Bocconi.
Among the top twenty there are thirteen Americans, three Spanish, two French, one British and one Italian. The criteria for evaluating schools include not only the salaries of managers, but also the level of satisfaction or the percentage of graduates who find a job in less than three months, with rates above 90%. In dollars, the salaries of professionals with a Spanish MBA range between 170,000 and 180,000 dollars per year.
