Dubai has suffered the heaviest rains in the last 75 years, with rainfall that accumulated the equivalent of two years of rain in just one day. This extreme situation has resulted in flooded streets and significant damage to residential structures.
Meanwhile, numerous vehicles were trapped in the large amount of water that fell unexpectedly, but some stood out for their resistance to flooding, in particular, Tesla models, despite the fact that these types of electric cars can suffer damage if they come into contact with water.
Social networks were filled with images and videos showing the magnitude of the disaster. Amid the chaos, one video in particular, uploaded to TikTok and viewed by millions of people, showed a Tesla moving with surprising efficiency through a deep puddle.
Despite the adversity, the electric vehicle showed no signs of deterioration, which is a stark contrast to combustion cars, which did not suffer the same fate. “Tesla always holding on,” said a TikTok user.
In another part of the city, the situation was similar with another Tesla, this time a Model 3. Although the first publications on social networks indicated that the vehicle had failed in its attempt to overcome the flood, the alleged passenger, known on networks like @MisterSpread, clarified that the car not only managed to get through the flooded section, but also made sure that water did not leak inside.
This is not the first incident where Teslas demonstrate their ability to handle extreme water conditions. In China, similar incidents have been reported with Tesla Models 3 and Y, which have overcome flooded roads where gasoline vehicles were completely trapped. Furthermore, the Tesla Cybertruck has also shown impressive results in deep water driving tests conducted by YouTuber TechRax
