Correos issued this Friday a stamp dedicated to the writer Javier Marías (1951-2022), belonging to the ‘Literature’ series, with which it pays homage to “one of the most brilliant and personal voices in contemporary Spanish narrative”.

The postal operator highlighted in a statement that this stamp highlights the figure of the Madrid author whose “voice is present in all his works.” He also revealed that “his characters show intense complexity and are exposed to extraordinary and uncertain situations, while subtly exploring new literary formulas.”

The stamp dedicated to Javier Marías belongs to the ‘Literature’ series and reproduces a close-up portrait of the writer that “captures his intense gaze and that characteristic half smile of his”.
