The telecommunications group Cellnex recorded the same losses last year as the previous year: 297 million euros. This result occurred despite the fact that the company increased its income by 16%, to 4,053 million euros.
The company highlighted that the losses are due to the growth of amortizations and financial costs as a result of the acquisition of several assets.
Precisely these purchases increased financial costs by 11%, and amortizations by 10%. In a statement, the CEO of Cellnex, Marco Patuano, highlighted the “good commercial performance and solid operational execution” achieved, which has allowed the set financial objectives to be met, he added.
Last year was the first complete year since Cellnex announced, in November 2022, a new strategic stage in which the purchasing policy is put aside to focus on growth. This new plan also implied the departure of the CEO, Tobías Martínez, who was the one who led the company since it was split from Abertis in 2015. The changes also implied the appointment of Anne Bouverot as president of the company. Next week, the company presents its future strategy in London.
