BBVA Asset Management (BBVA AM) has launched the VI BBVA Futuro Sostenible Solidarity Call, a program with which, in this edition, it will donate a percentage of the management fee of its BBVA Futuro IRS fund to 24 solidarity projects in Spain – compared to the 23rd of the year 2023 – within the areas of social and labor inclusion, dependency and the environment.
As reported by the entity, in this sixth edition, BBVA AM has created a new category within social projects called ‘Job creation for vulnerable groups’ that is intended to promote the labor inclusion of people in situations of social exclusion and poverty. , “especially those with disabilities or women in situations of extreme vulnerability.”
In particular, the BBVA Group unit has explained that, to distribute the million euros, it will divide the 24 donations into three groups. Thus, it will make four donations of 75,000 euros for each of the four categories: social inclusion, elderly dependency and health, job creation for vulnerable groups and the environment.
On the other hand, it will make four donations of 35,000 euros for “exclusively environmental” projects, as it has highlighted, and sixteen donations of 35,000 euros to different solidarity projects of a social nature throughout Spain.
NGOs that are interested in presenting their projects have until February 29, 2024 and can do so, as BBVA AM has stated, through a form available on the entity’s website. The resolution of the call will be made, as stated, on June 10 of this same year.
Likewise, the chosen projects must be complemented within a maximum period of twelve months from the receipt of the aid, which, as indicated, will take place on July 31, 2024.
In total, in the five previous editions, BBVA AM has distributed, as highlighted, more than 4.2 million euros among almost 100 solidarity projects located in all the autonomous communities of Spain. In particular, the initiative has benefited “directly and indirectly”, according to BBVA AM, more than 370,000 people.
