Appointment to go to the Tax Agency for income: when can it be requested?

New phase in the 2023 income campaign, one of the most anticipated. Starting next week, taxpayers will be able to request an appointment to prepare their personal income tax return with the help of an official from the Tax Agency.

Until now, telephone service was enabled, which started on May 7 and will be open until July 1. With this channel, taxpayers receive a call from a Tax Agency official who helps them prepare and present their return remotely. You have to be careful and check that it is not a scam: taxpayers are only contacted from two numbers.

But on May 29, the application period opens for appointments at the offices of the Tax Agency and collaborating entities. With this, any doubts that may arise when preparing the declaration can be resolved face to face to avoid any errors that later end up translating into sanctions.

The deadline will be open until June 28. The shifts will start on June 3 and will continue until July 1, the date that marks the end of the campaign.

It must be taken into account that not everyone can make an appointment to access the service. For example, anyone whose income from work exceeds 65,000 euros is excluded. The same for anyone who owns two rented homes. Or in 2023 there will be more than 15,000 euros in returns on capital, such as from sales of bonds, Treasury bills or interest on deposits.

All cases in which a prior appointment is allowed can be consulted at this link on the AEAT portal.

The appointment can be requested online, in the Tax Agency app or by calling the following telephone numbers: 91 535 73 26 and 901 12 12 24, both automatic telephone numbers available 24 hours a day; or 91 553 00 71 and 901 22 33 44, both with personal attention from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

As soon as in-person attention begins, the income campaign will be in full swing and will face its final stretch. This year, taxpayers have had a longer calendar than usual: the declaration has been possible since April 3.
