On the road, all drivers have to comply with traffic rules, although there are exceptions for police cars, ambulances, fire trucks and civil protection, which have priority when on duty. These vehicles not only have the right of way, but they can also exceed speed limits and skip traffic signals. At least, in Spain.

No matter how well-known (or not) the norm is in our country, many are still surprised by the discipline that the vehicles demonstrate when they encounter an ambulance or a fire truck with active warnings.

For this reason, a video has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter) in which the driver of an ambulance in the Netherlands records the moment in which an emergency corridor is formed and in which the response of the users is impeccable.

As can be seen in the video, which has thousands of views, the vehicles in its path do not hesitate to deviate from the path, even if that means getting on shoulders, medians or hitting the brakes occasionally.

What most attracts users’ attention is the coordination of the successive rows of cars, as if they had had prior preparation. But no, they limit themselves to complying with the regulations to facilitate the passage of the ambulance, which travels several meters having to avoid the rest of the vehicles, as seen in the clip.

Users of this social network have not missed the opportunity to compare the behavior of the Dutch with those of other countries. One assures that this would never happen in the United States and others remember that a similar scene was experienced in Germany, where the emergency corridor was almost a kilometer long.
