Acciona has taken a majority stake in Solideo, a Catalan company specializing in the installation of solar panels for individuals and companies. The price of the operation has not been revealed, nor has the percentage taken by the multinational led by José Manuel Entrecanales.
Rafa Reyes, co-founder of the company, explains to this newspaper that Solideo will retain the brand name as well as its entire workforce, made up of 270 workers. The management of the company will remain in his hands indefinitely. Ãngel Baños and the other partners retain, like Rafa Reyes, a minority stake in the company.
With this operation, Acciona enters the business of installing solar panels for individuals and SMEs, since to date, it has only worked for large companies. The intention of the multinational, listed on the Ibex35, is to expand the Solideo business throughout Spain, especially in Andalusia, Valencia and the north of the country.
Acciona also does not reveal the budget of the strategic growth plan that it has designed for Solideo. Reyes trusts the resources and the geographic presence of the group. The turnover of the company, which has its headquarters in Sant Cugat, was 20.5 million euros in 2022 and the forecast this year is to exceed 30 million.
Solideo also offers batteries for electrical storage, charging points for electric vehicles and aerothermal air conditioning systems. The growth plan also contemplates the start-up of new business segments such as distributed generation –on a small scale and close to the points of consumption–, the creation of solar communities or the commercialization of energy.
